Erin’s World Frames brings a new concept in eyewear for individuals with Down syndrome, a need that remained unsatisfied for a long time.
01
What Sets Our Frames Apart?
Lowered Bridge
Tired of your glasses constantly slipping down?
A flat nasal bridge is a common physical characteristic of Down syndrome. By lowering the bridge placement on our frames will allow it to sit up higher on low flat nasal bridges and prevent slipping. If your glasses are slipping, it can affect your vision.
02
Widened Frame Front
Individuals with Down syndrome typically have more narrow set eyes. By widening the frame front on our frames will ensure you look through the optical center. The optical center of your prescription glasses is the point in the middle of the lens where you should look through to get the best vision. When choosing glasses, it's important to make sure the rest points of the glasses fit properly and that the lenses are centered over your pupils.
03
Adjustable Temples
Ears of individuals with Down syndrome are often low set, meaning the top of their outer ear is at or below the line that connects the inner corners of their eyes. By adjusting the temple placement and allowing them to be lengthened and shortened to fit your unique face, we have designed a comfortable fitting frame for individuals with Down syndrome.
